South Africa’s #1 garage band, The Future Primitives, will play a show at La Mécanique Ondulatoire in Paris on October 17. It’s their first show in Paris, and there’s two great support bands from the label, Volage and Dusty mush, so don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

Volage‘s debut Ep “Maddie”, originally self’-released on cassette (sold out), is being reissued on Maxi 10″ white-colored vinyl on Howlin Banana Records, with a new cover and an extra track! Out November 1st, pre-orders are available here. Meanwhile, the band  is supporting Fuzz,  Ty Segall’s latest project, in Paris on September 24.

The second Psychotic Reaction night will take place at L’international on September 19, with a great line-up featuring two of the coolest French psychedelic bands, Sudden Death of Stars from Rennes and Beatmark from Paris!It’s free, so there’s no reason to miss this one. More info 

Travel Check will open for two Future Primitives shows in Switzerland next month, in Fribourg on Oct 4 and Chaux de Fonds on Oct 5,so if you’re in the area, don’t miss them! Their next release, a 4 tracks EP, should be out in november so stay tuned!

Watch Dusty Mush‘s latest home-made music video for their song “Space Cat”, a trippy, horror/psych inspired VHS-style vid’, well worth checking out. Along with a few other cool local labels and media, we’are launching a new regular night in Paris dedicated to upcoming garage, psych, punk & shoegaze acts, called “Psychotic Reaction”.
